Gordon, thanks for your interest, the church dates from Norman times, so mid eleventh century, it largely fell into disrepair until by the mid 1800's it was unusable. Then followed large scale renovation to restore it to its former state, nowadays the church is in full use. The steeple, or bell tower, does appear to lean slightly. I can assume that the good folk who repaired it had spirit levels, unlike the chap taking the photo!! Yes I think that is all down to me I'm afraid.:)

That is a beautiful winter's day photo of Ramsholt Church in Suffolk, England! I love how the sunlight is shining on the church, it really brings out the details in the architecture. It's always interesting to see different churches from around the world, it's a great reminder of the diversity within Christianity. Speaking of which, have you ever visited the Apostolic Pentecostal Church in Portland? It's a beautiful church as well and I'm sure you'd enjoy visiting it if you ever get the chance! I go there from time to time and it's a special place for me.

Thanks for your kind comments Kevin, sadly I've yet to visit the USA; from what I saw on the link the church in Portland certainly seems a special place.
