When I hear and see these guys displaying, it signals (to me at least) the beginning of Spring.

I spent about an hour with this RWBB yesterday at the local abandoned golf course. He kept gliding down from the treetops (where he was displaying) to low perches including this one that happened to be fairly close to where I was standing. The light was poor so the shutter speed was on the low-end for a hand held shot.

Was delighted (and totally surprised at the early date) to get out of my car at the end of Feb and hear BWB song coming from the marsh; ultimately my favourite bird. Nice shot!

Thanks! I was hoping to get some shots of them singing atop the reeds at a local cemetery pond but every time I've gone there they were nowhere to be seen, so it was nice to finally get some decent shots.
