This is one of the original turbine props from the hydroelectric powerhouse at the Bonneville Dam on the Oregon side of the Columbia River; the turbines on the OR side have been upgraded. Powerhouse Number Two is on the Washington side. I visited both a couple of weeks ago. There is nothing in the pic to give a proper perspective of the size of this prop. Someone asked me how this prop compares to a prop on a U S Navy super carrier; not sure but each prop is designed for different functions. If I remember correctly, this turbine prop rotated at around 75 rpm.
