Photos taken with my D850 using San Disk Extreme Pro CF Express cards don't open in windows. The thumb nails open but the full size images do not. Photos taken using XQD cards open normally. Once imported into LR they are just like the photos taken with the XQD card. Has any one else seen this and if so what did you do.

The Viewwer in Windows 10 is terrible. Often times the 1st one will open and then I get an error message. And yes, rebooting and only running that program will help, for awhile seems to work.

I use iview for all my quick viewing needs. It works very well in Windows and also has a lot of options. It is also free (donation suggested) irfanview.com It reads NEF and I'm sure other raw formats.

I downloaded the latest codec that did not help. When I tried to open the photo in windows I got a message to download an update to the viewer and when I did that, now the photos open as they did in the past so I guess that it was a windows problem.
