We made a trip to the southern Alberta town of Drumheller in mid-July. Drumheller and the surrounding areas are part of the Alberta badlands and are famous for some of world's best fossil deposits including some exceptional Cretaceous dinosaurs. On our way to Drumheller, we stopped by a canola field on Highway 56 and along with landscapes, I took some close up shots. Nikon Z6 ii; Nikon Z 24-70mm f/4 S. 24-70 works quite good at close distance.

Nice shots from along the road. I especially like the first.
Maybe it's just my anticipation of composition, I tend to dislike images where the front elements are out of focus and elements in the rear are sharp. No doubt that the butterfly is a nice shot, but for me the flower in the front is disturbing

I agree with you on the out-of-focus front element. I did try to crop it more but it was too small and getting pixelated. I’m happy that you liked the others. Thanks!
