Shorteared Owl

Saw this shorteared owl last night near Mackey Ind. They are fun to shoot, they come out near sundown and it soon gets too dark for the shutter speeds you need. In the meantime the action gets pretty fast sometimes.

Thank you ssheipel, not sure what it’s thinking, probably wondering if I was a threat to it’s food source. Usually they don’t seem to notice people too much they seem intent on hunting and keeping other owls off their area.
