I was waiting for Short-eared Owls to appear yesterday and started tracking this Northern Harrier as it approached. It took a very sudden dive and I lost focus lock as it dropped out of frame. I couldn't find it in the viewfinder again and when I looked out over the camera I saw these two hit the ground in a tangle. I managed to get a few frames before they separated.

wow. great sequence. 2 birds that are not easy to photograph alone. Together and fighting, wow, once in a lifetime opportunity. thanks for sharing.
