I've set up my outdoor studio for birds in the backyard. Background is my poodles water fall and flowers from my wife's garden. Rocks I change for different looks. There is water and seeds below the rock.
Birds come in (although not too much variety yet) but they land sometimes on the rock and pose perfectly.

These were taken with a Sony A74, a vintage Minolta lens 200mm 3.5 at F5.6 /8 and 1/2500 sec at ISO 2000.

I set the camera up to shoot every 3 seconds and just let it rip.

I love this shot, I'd just clone out a few distractions in the background to give it an even cleaner look but I absolutely love those kind of minimalist shots.
Thanks. If there's not some interesting action those are my favorite bird shots to capture... though of course the elements don't always cooperate.

Started photographing birds only 4 months ago. Lots to learn. Those smaller guys are fun to capture.

For the little ones, really little one on the frame. Lost some detail but it's amazing what's possible now. If I had shot the Raw file I may have had a better image. But there it is.
