Here's a spring shot of a Marsh Wren collecting up nesting materials from last year's cattails...

I came across these Horned Larks by the side of a dirt road early one morning as I was out scouting Sage Grouse leks. There a couple of dozen of these guys hopping around the brush and hanging out by the roadside.

Awsome photo and bird(y) I was very happy to see my first Horned lark last week in migration in Gaspésie, Québec.

Was enjoying a beer on the front porch this evening with my wife with the camera within reach when this Red Breasted Nuthatch stopped by for a drink at the fountain.

The Red Crossbills have been hanging around a lot lately including this young male with his splotchy colors. I sure hope they make an appearance next spring in full breeding colors, though I like the way his colors work with the autumn background.

What a great series! Thanks everyone.

I've had fun chasing the Australian Reed Warbler. It takes patience and luck.

This guy is I expect stripping fibre for nest material. They're big crops due to the need for inter-species distancing;-)
