I think on the last image, the Crowned Sparrow finally realized that the fat bush (came) was not really a bush!

We live on the same planet, right??? Absolutely awesome!

Every spring, a bunch of these (skylarks) frequent an open field about 5 minutes from my doorstep.

Getting close to one of them is always a bit of a problem (it being an open field, they see you coming a long way out). After a fair few attempts spanning several days; I finally managed to get within reasonable distance and take this (somewhat wider) shot.

Spring is really starting to kick off here. Which for me (who mainly photographs birds) is always the best time of the entire year.

A group of these common whitethroat was zipping around chasing each other around a thornbush. Every now and then, once would stay put for long enough to get a few shots in. Nothing too overly special, but not a bad way to start the season.
