Last week I posted some patterns in ice. I wasn't pleased with the overall quality of the photos but thought the shapes and patterns were interesting enough to salvage the shots. I was shooting wildlife and some video and didn't have any other lenses with me outside the 200-500 and a Sony RX10-iv that I use for video. The 200-500 is a fine lens and what the ones below was shot with but those small puddles from last week were such that the long minimum focus distance wouldn't let me get the angle I wanted.
These were a little further out and along the shore of our local lake. I'm more pleased. I'm still struggling with getting best quality photos exported to upload to the forum. I seem to always lose quite a bit of resolution and sharpness when downsizing.
