For some strange reason, we have some Stink Bugs in the house this winter. I have read that this is not uncommon, but in the 16 years we lived here, I have never seen one in the winter. This super close-up was done with my Z6II with a reversed Raynox 250 tube lens (125mm) with Mitutoyo 5x microscope objective at the end. I did a stack of 55 images on the WeMacro rail and stacked in Helicon Focus.

Until this image, I did not know that Stink bugs have ocelli (simple eyes like a bee has) on the top of their head. Maybe because they are smaller than a sewing pin and about the size of the period at the end of this sentence.

Really interesting picture and documentation. I didn't know about the "ocelli". In French "ocelle", which comes from Latin "oculus" i.e. "small eye". Thanks for sharing :)
