The owner of our lodge was kind enough to park his boat and leave it overnight so we could use it in our sunrise photographs.

We didn't have any mornings like that while you were up here. Which is not unusual. I can see both Mount Redoubt and Illiamna from my house and MANY times they are in sunlight when it's overcast here in Anchorage.
MobettaLOL - Ok Dan, this one is for you. We had two really nice days (not consecutive) and the rest were rainy, cloudy and cool. This was one of the nice ones.

I like the placement of the boat better on the second shot. Nice colors.
Lovely images. Would have been nice to have been on that yacht!

I road on that boat a few years ago. Heavy duty, made for Alaska. The owner of our lodge was kind enough to park his boat and leave it overnight so we could use it in our sunrise photographs.
