Sunset at Saguaro NP West

Took this last night at Saguaro NP on the West side.

Very nice rick, what did the -2 compensation enhance in the image. Did this just add some light in the foreground shadows

Thank you.
Since I was shooting directly at a bright sky I needed to underexpose the shot to not blow out any highlights.
A very little bit of an adjustment was made in post to lighten the foreground.

Thanks rick as I've not experimented much with the - minus part of comp. I use the + plus side quite a bit shooting birds in flight to enhance the underside of the bird. So thank you for sharing your knowledge as this info will be useful in the future

I live near Saguaro National Park west, so it's always nice to see shots from my area.

For those unfamiliar, Saguaro National Park is divided into two physically separate parts: one just west of Tucson (this one) and one just east of Tucson. If you ever visit and only have time for one, do west. It is far more scenic and also easier to navigate since east is a one-lane, one-way loop, whereas west is a two-way road.

I travel the country full time in my RV and have been staying in the Tucson for the past 2+ weeks.
I agree with you about the west side of Saguaro NP.
