Thank you. Yes, he is a Mandarin duck. A bit rare sighting for us living in the north America.
Nice. The only place I've seen one is at a wildlife refuge not too far from Vancouver BC.

Male and Female Cinnamon Teal. Would have liked this image better with the male alone or both sharp(should have stopped down a bit) and separation between them but you play the hand you're dealt

Shot at a local waterhole area that I visit once a week or so. The animals here aren't super skittish, but nor are they very used to people. So the tried and true approach of setting up by the water's edge, take it easy and wait for them to get curious and come closer was chosen
Took a series of shots of this one (female pochard if I'm not mistaken) as well as few others. This one was my favourite by far though (love the early morning light giving a warm feel to the entire scene).

Noticed some Eared Grebe on a small pond but keeping their distance so I came back early the next morning and set up a blind. Took a while but one finally swam by.

I went to a local duck hangout with my Grandson. He loved seeing all the baby ducks in particular the little yellow duckling.
