I love Steve’s videos - I hope to one day get to meet him and go on one of his workshops. He comes across as so spontaneous and real - I hope that’s how he is in life.Steve Mattheis is really good on YouTube (he's also good friend)
Wild and Exposed podcast is a great listen. They are also on YouTube.

Mark is a great guy, very friendly in person. You should get some great shots of Osprey. I like the narration in his videos. I was planning to do one of his workshops last year before COVID messed everything up so I don‘t know how they are. I might try to get to one this winter.I also like Mark Smith but narration can be a bit over the top at times. I will meet him in December for some osprey photography. The funny thing is that he is as concise in his emails as he is loquacious in his videos
Is Mark based in WA? I see he also does FL workshops. Also, his 2022 workshop looks like it is in May. Seems late in the season, but since I do not know exactly where he is shooting on the peninsula, I do not know how many eagles reside in the area all year long.I haven't attended any of Mark Smith's Eagle Photography Workshops in Washington State though I have photographed alongside his group several times this year as his location is a popular spot for Eagle Photography. I spoke with a few participants before and after the Workshop and all were very positive about what they learned from the Class. One participant said what he learned from Mark in 5 Minutes about his Sony A1 and settings / tracking techniques was worth the money spent. I had the opportunity to talk with Mark before a session about my D850 / 500 PF focus and tracking concern and he was very polite and took the time to answer my question.

I believe Mark is based in Florida as I have been told he's in the Hood Canal area from mid May thru June conducting his Eagle Photography Workshops. Is Mark based in WA? Photo blog? I don't know what that is. Yep, getting old.
From London Ky here living in Florida where every day is a good day for photography.I watch a few on YouTube. Steve Mattheis, Mark Smith, Thomas Heaton and a couple others. My wife and I administer a Facebook group for a Ohio, Indiana and Kentucky nature photography. That takes up a lot of my not out in the field time. I also follow a few on Instagram
