HDD Enclosure case, no fan, for image backups and an 18TB HDD for it: : StarTech.com USB 3.1 Gen 2 (10 Gbps) Enclosure for 3.5" SATA Drives - Supports SATA 6 Gbps

Newegg id number: 9SIA2F89108363.

I am listing this as it is hard to find USB 3.1 cases that will accept large HDDs. This StarTech case is probably not rated by the mfgr to take an 18TB HDD but it works with the Western Digital Red HDD. Both purchased from Newegg. The info at Newegg says 6 TB, not 18TB.

Today I will receive via UPS an Olympus 150-400mm f4.5 zoom, for which I have waited a while. I recently sold some older gear to take some of the sting out of the great big price tag, but it still is a big investment. It should be well worth it in enhancing the M43 side of my two-sided camera bag (the other side is Nikon).
That is a lot more than enhancing

My vocabulary is limited, I'm afraid :).
On the other hand, I have had the lens for several weeks now and I find that for most of the photos I take of birds and animals, the performance of the Olympus 100-400mm is so close to the much more expensive 150-400 that the differences involve classic pixel peeping. The big bucks for the 150-400mm seem to be more an investment in build quality, built-in teleconverter, and faster aperture. And better IS when hand-held. But properly handled, the 100-400mm is a real bargain, I think.

That is the reason I went with 100-400mm and I am happy with it, although I wouldn't mind having a brighter aperture at that focal length. So that would be my latest purchase together with the 12-40 f2.8 PRO and 30mm f3.5 macro lenses.

I just purchased a used 300mm f4 PF. I don’t buy used Cameras or Lenses but I couldn’t pass up on this Lens as it’s in mint condition and the seller was switching to Sony, plus the 50% cost difference from a new Lens. I have the 500 PF and the 300mm will work well for my Wildlife / Birding photography.

MB-D17 grip and supporting Kirk L bracket for my Nikon D500. Just installed it this morning. Quite a bit more weight and bulk, but vertical shots seemed to be much more straight forward.

A JJC palm starp rather good - its does not obstruct the battery door (so charging does not require un doing the straps screw on the base plate) it looks the business with Nikon Red details, and its well padde

Just curious, what's been your latest camera equipment purchase, and why did you buy it? How do you plan to use it, and how do you think it will improve your work?

I'll go first: just bought a Nikkor 16-35 f4, which I plan to use for landscapes. To date, I've been using the Nikkor 24-70 for landscape work, which has worked beautifully, but I'd like to try something wider, to get those dramatic fore, mid, and backgrounds that draw the eye into the image. Hoping my new lens does the trick!
I bought the same lens for the exact same reasons last week. Also bought the Nisi filter system along with the lens.

Recently received a Helicon Focus FB Tube to go with my D500 and Sigma 180mm f2.8 macro and D810. Still getting used to setting it up correctly.
Also, just ordered but not recieved a Nikon R1C1 macro flash unit.

3 weeks ago I grabbed an absolutely pristine copy of the 24-70 f:2.8 G for $900. I wanted the newer E VR but they go for twice that used and not being sure that I will stay with Nikon F mount, I went with the cheaper option - and at that price, I can resell it without much loss.
i really love the colours and sharpness from that lens and it served me well on my latest trip.

Make sure you thoroughly test the lens - there are bad copies floating around. I got mine a few years back for Christmas but didn’t test it until after the return period was over and it has seriously mushy corners. i have compared with other photographers and I know it is a copy issue - so make sure to assess it early and return if not satisfactory.

Kase magnetic CPL and 8 stop Filter. This is the 112mm version specifically for the Nikon Z 14-24 f2.8 where the lens hood holds the filters. The good news is that the lens hood fits the holy trinity, so I can use it on the z 70-200.
I have the z 24-70 f4 ( not the trinity f2.8) but they have a step up adaptor for £4.50 so I can use that hood on all my lenses.
beautiful craftsmanship.

This week I made the decision to venture down the Mirrorless trail with the purchase of a Nikon Z7ii. I will keep my D850 and D500 as they have performed very well for my Wildlife and Raptor Photography.
