We found a large Stork nesting site next to a car road in Lagos (Algarve). This was really nice opportunity to observe these guys up-close.
The sun was quite low from our back and the nests/birds were approximately at eye level. We were perhaps 15-25m away from various nests and the birds weren't bothered at all. Backgrounds were distant and this was handy to be able to choose from different options by slightly adjusting our angle in relation to the subjects.
