Good composition, nice eye contact with the female, sharp, nice smooth background. It's also good that you were low down instead of shooting down from above the birds. Getting to eye level with birds on the ground or water always makes for a better image.
The image is overexposed and the highlights are blown. I think a full stop less exposure would have stood you in good stead. When the image is too brightly exposed one loses a lot of definition in the bright areas. I couldn't salvage the highlights, but the exposure adjustments I made gives you an idea of what I'm talking about.

Nice low POV, beautiful colors on the drake (in Razzie's re-edit). I would desaturate the green water in front of the drake and I would clone out the sticks to the L of the drake.
The angle of the drake is terrific-it is not easy for me to catch the beautiful green mask on his face like you have done.

I like the photograph but yes, I do believe it's overexposed a bit. I usually prefer photos that are a bit underexposed -- personal preference, I'm sure others may disagree.
Rassie summed it up.
Agree with what has already been said- both good and the critical comments. I would only add that to my eye the horizon seems off just a tad. It looks to me as if the camera right side is just a bit higher than the left, but perhaps that perception is caused by the placement of the subjects

Nice photo. I agree with the previous comments about it being a little over exposed, but it looks salvageable in PP. Other than that, I'd say it needs a little straightening.
