Red-Breasted Mergansers are a winter visitor to the south coast of the UK.
This is the first time I have managed to get images of one.

Especially the first image is very good. Love the contrast with the birds colors on top of the blue water. The luck of getting the bird swimming through a smooth water surface gives really great reflection.
On #2 & #3 the bird itself is as good as #1, but the water is a little less blue, and do not provide the same depth of contrast. The bird is agitating the water and by so disturbing the fine reflection, but that's fine after all. I think you can improve #2 (most) and #3 a bit by getting the bird to swim straight, now it looks like it's swimming a downwards.
But all in all 3 good shots.

My comments are basically the same as Niels. Nice techs on all three. The first shot is really nice. Beautiful water and a fairly low angle. If it was possible to get lower without bringing the horizon into the frame that would be a little better IMO. On the other two shots a lower angle would help even more because the water not as pleasing and they both need a bit of anti-clockwise rotation.
