I've been to Pacific City, but never with my camera. I chose the mouth of the Columbia River this year because I could put the lighthouse in the background. I'll likely find a new spot for next winter's king tides.
Cool photograph with the light house in the background. Is the lighthouse still active?

It is still an active lighthouse maintained by the Coast Guard. There is a Coast Guard station nearby on the Columbia River

this is a well known location. Often overrun with 40 or more photographers on big wave days. It is Cape Disappointment State Park, Wshington, near the mouth of the Columbia River.
