I have been checking on this Yellow-Bellied Sapsucker pair and their nest for a couple of weeks now. I've been using my CamRanger II to remotely shoot about 25 yards from the nest cavity. I had been staked out on the nest hole for nearly an hour this am with nothing going on when suddenly the female popped out of the hole for a stretch. She did a series of fluffs, preens, and scratches and then headed straight back to the nest cavity.
