There is now three pairs along this stretch of the river, which is great to see. They still refuse to fish in the main channel, though, preferring the ponds; hence, why no fishing shots :cry:. I'm not a birder but I love watching these guys.

Np. It's actually not a utility pole, it's one of a series of channel marker posts. On a few of them, humans have mounted nesting platforms and those are what the pairs are using. However, they usually dine out on an adjacent post.
