I just got device that lets you scan film with your camera. So I got out my old film and made some scans. The Kodachrome slides still looked good, but the color negatives I scanned were faded, with very little color left. So I converted this one to B&W. I think it came out pretty good.

Canon A1, no-name (and somewhat soft) 70-200mm, unknown color film.

Very nicely done! I thought at first I was looking at a large-format shot.

I engaged is a similar project a couple summers ago, but I used an Epson 600. I was able to salvage a few water-damaged shots and few undamaged ones, too. I wanted to get the negative scanning stuff but couldn't afford the D850 that was recommended.

I love the nostalgia of film and the memories it brings. I bought a Nikon D850 (along with 60mm macro and ES-1 adapter) a few years back simply to transfer all of my remaining color film negatives, I've also been converting a lot of my slides using the same lens and Z6 (and now Z8). You inspire me to play with them a bit more.
