Overall it is clear the Z9 menu system perpetuates the Nikon layout: albeit many new additions and also a few rearrangements etc in the details.

Subject to release of the Z9 manuals [downloadable pdf's], this video seems to be the most complete coverage to date.

A much safer subject for this chap, than a cursory report about BIF performance and quality of RAW files with beat Firmware (!) Some viewers may also find the video useful to treat insomnia....with the soothing soundtrack scrolling through endless Menus..... :)

Thank you ! Boring for sure, but I’ll be watching this to get my camera set up whenever it comes ! Hopefully Steve has his and gives a good review and set up video before I get mine too. I’m #11 on a pre-order lis…so will see how that actually goes.

As an aside, and I'm just curious, not trying to launch some battle of youtuber favourites :D , the last I saw that guy he was selling all his Nikon gear and moving to a new system...?

A targeted look at the menu system. This guy is a sport shooter and Nikon ambassador.

I re read Steve's book on Nikon AF and got wondering about 'focus tracking with lock-on' with the Z9; cool Jasin mentions how important that is with this camera's AF. And, "Matrix metering face detection" -- looking forward to trying that out!

No idea about his gear system(s). Wary of system hoppers, especially chasing the latest and greatest....

And, I have no precise date on when I gave up trying to watch this guy (joining no lack of many others on sv*tlist) but exception for this:

1. unique access to prototype Z9,
2. Ricci Chera had not reported on Z9 menus,
3. Collating an overview of menu screens is fairly hard to misrepresent, let alone sensationalize ;) ;).

In contrast, much of his other content is superficial, and the RAW analyses are flawed (read somewhere they were withdrawn)
