Zerene Stacker or Helicon Focus

Hi All,

Going to download and use the evaluation editions of the above software. However, would like some advice on which one is the most popular and why.

Have you seen Steve's videos? He demonstrates both.

Both programs are very good - better than Photoshop in most cases. Neither is perfect all of the time. Both are well regarded - to the point where you could flip a coin.

I use Helicon Focus. Zyrene is a good alternative. Sometimes one is better or worse based on the image, so if this is something you'll do regularly, you may end up with both products.

i tried both and ended up going with helicon for focus stacking landscapes.

I've used Helicon several times and it has done a nice job. Usually if there is a problem it's been me! But I've heard that Zyrene is good, too. Use them and see which one suits you best.
