Not sure why I chose this as my first post in this thread, not the sharpest. At Palouse Falls watching the Red-tailed hawks diving from high above snagging mice and returning to the nest when I caught this one in the gorge displaying his name sake tail feathers.

This happened today, but happens often, unfortunately. I was sitting by a pond with another photographer today, being as quiet and stealthy as we could, shooting can American Bittern who was being quite bold and was out away from the reeds in very nice light. Along come three "bird watchers" who squeal loudly and yell "there's the Bittern!" Then they talk and laugh loudly even after the other photographer asked them to be quiet. In this case, the bird wasn't frightened away completely, and I got more pictures of him later, but he did wander back into the reeds after hearing all the ruckus.
