Perhaps I've been lucky, but SFSG on the locking collars. That one's about 18 month old now so it's probably still on the new side, in the grand scheme. Honestly, the majority of my use of that monopod it from the vehicle. I wedge it between the drivers seat & door and with the Wimberly monopod head, it's great for managing the 600F4 for the drivers seat. Other than that, it comes with us when we fly (or used to, Lol) to save space - which was the case in the posted image.

The tripod that I use all the time is really worn from the harsh desert environment, lots of St Helens ash mixed in with sand and silt. It really takes a toll on those soft plastic collars. Other than that I really do like those tripods. Good strength and stable. The carbon fiber seems to be of top quality.
