How about a vertical wildlife pano?

Yet anothervariation. The Dead Sea standing on the Jordan side, looking into Israel. Shot as a jpg single shot 180 degree panorama using the Nikon AW100 waterproof point and shoot. I also used this camera for snorkeling photos. Original was 3200 by 560 pixels.

Wow. Beautiful for something called dead. My wife and I are going to Israel in June.

Thank you and best wishes. We did a Jordan tour and loved it all. If your tour offers the opportunity to cross into Jordan to visit Mount Nebo (it used to be allowed back when we went in 2014)do take the trip. It is the location where it is said Moses looked out to the Promised Land and there is a 5th Century Basilica on the site.

This thread has me looking back in the files for the heck of it all. This shot was with a Nikon D5000 on a tour boat taking us to a submarine trip off the coast of Maui. The storm onshore was beautiful and awe inspiring but did not capture well in my attempts. I could see what I wanted to do but did not have the experience or mastery of the tools to do so. With the recent addition of the masking tools to Lightroom, I have tried again and gotten closer to the scene as I remember it - Dark, light, tropical, stormy, calm, colorful and so much more. Offshore was quiet water and pleasant while onshore was stormy, intense, bright and dark at the same time, and more. This is what I got to this time.

Can't speak to whether it looks like what you remember but certainly looks like a storm cloud.

A storm cloud it was. We were at sea level and the currently inactive volcano behind the storm rise to 10,023 feet (3,055m) rather quickly. It can be 86F/30C at the beach and32F/0C at the volcano peak. Coupled with the moist warm water, Maui is on of the wettest places out there (up to 10m/32.8ft of rain per year). Wonderful place to visit. The road to Hana is a lifetime experience to drive!
