Met up with David and Trent in Florida for a short 3.5 day trip. Was a pleasure meeting fellow photogs. A few thousand photos to go thru but a few that are standing out to me. Pretty excited to get some spoonbills. I have so many of them in flight but for some reason this one I enjoy. Like he/she was putting on the brakes before landing. The Burrowing owls was a nice bonus on landing in Ft Lauderdale as well as again when departing. Ospreys were kind of slim during morning visits to Sebastian Inlet, but managed to snag a few.

I'm sure I'll be posting more. Lots of Steves camera suggestions sure helped as well as some tips from David. I will say I have some excellent shots but a wing may be clipped etc. Not sure what or how to handle those. The Sony A1 bird eye AF was incredibly accurate.

Great series👍👍👍

Thee are great. Spoonbills are so interesting looking. I hope to get to see/photograph some. And in general I dig ' brakes on' kind of shots!
If you want Spoonbills, I'll suggest the Saint Augustine Alligator Farm (SAAF). There are other places with them, but I've not seen another place where their presence is as reliable as SAAF.

That's great to know. I've yet to make a Florida trip and from everything I've seen expect doing so to be pretty great!

OMG! So many excellent shots within 3,5 days and its just the beginning. It would take me weeks to catch so many different and nice looking species.
One more reason to make it over the pond again and visit FL.

But maybe I should just visit our airport here to find some owls next door...I always had the feeling that I was looking at the wrong quiet places... 😁
