I'm so excited. Yesterday, in Crested Butte, CO, I saw my first leucistic bird! I was driving up the mountain and saw a "white blob" on top of a spruce. My curiosity got the better of me (thankfully) and we pulled off the road for a better look. My curiosity was rewarded! This is a Red-tailed hawk.

*I'd love to see any other leucistic critters you all may have captured.

Nice catch!! The single time I've had a memory card failure was after I shot a PAIR of luecistic Black-billed Magpies. I chimped the images on my D3 so much I figure I caused the card failure :) but only got some error message when I went to download them.

Too far away but this is the first leucistic bird I ever saw let alone photographed, pardon the lack of detail she was over 1000" away.
