Hi! Lovely images. Given we are a world-wide group it would be good to know "what squirrel and where". The same comment could apply to many bird images. They may be common in the given country but completely unknown elsewhere. Cheers!

The pictures of the red squirrels have been taken in March/April 2022 in Düsseldorf, Germany.

the european ones like to have their ears "hairy"

These are wild ones I noticed their presence when shooting woodpeckers actually. first they were very shy - after some days and some wal- and chestnuts they started to change their mind and relaxed....

Thanks, appreciate the comments.

If they frequent a small and shallow puddle and the weather is good, just throw a few nuts in. They will go after them when they spot them.

And, I found another. This is a Douglas Squirrel in a shore pine on the Oregon coast, back in 2020. I first noticed the scattering of pine cone debris on the trail, then looked up and there he/she was.
