Fantastic... I was in Florida years ago and had a Golden in range ....was just getting really to snap a couple shots and he took off... I replay that in my head over and over... Could not believe how big he was...

Just gorgeous, love that perch, Stunning series!
Thanks Callie --- There is another shot in that series, which I posted way back in August-- I think only Yezdi noticed it --- but it shows another pose to cope with the wind, and a sunbeam which just catches the bird's eye. See below.

Beautiful photos. Really like the closeup. The pose and look on his face in the last give an impression of strength and defiance.
Thanks Jerry --- I think you're right about the strength and defiance "look" because her partner was close by and obviously wanted some of her meal, and she was telling him to clear off !

Yeh Gordon, despite their size I have always found them difficult to get close up and settled, usually they were flying off into the distance, so this was a great opportunity.

I posted in another thread today about missing threads and this is another one I didn't see. It's so easy to miss because there are so many good posts being uploaded that they disappear onto the next page before you even see them. You can find some of them by going to Forums, Find Threads and Unanswered https://bcgforums.com/index.php?find-threads/unanswered.

I have researched to see if there is a way to look for threads that you have not seen, similar to how your email account has an "Unread" search, but there is nothing I can find in the "Administrators" settings to make this happen. There are a whole host of "add ons" that do all sorts of things but they cost extra and besides that, setting up these forums, you really need to have a lot of time and be very tech savvy. Honestly, unless @Steve has some help from somebody, I don't know how he is finding the time to do his photography, run a business and manage and maintain this forum. My hat is off to @Rose and him.

First, very nice set of photos, they tell a great story!
Second, I am the same with missing posts. Unless you are engaged on the site all time you will miss many. Also, I have a difficult time finding what photos I have posted myself! I don’t want to duplicate but sometimes I may..........

Good comments Peter , and I fully endorse your plaudits for Rose and Steve.

Wonderful lighting, nicely seen, #3 is my fav. (y)
Thanks Marc ---- Also because these shots were taken with the bird perched on a ledge overlooking quite a steep drop there was virtually infinite space behind the bird ( no cluttered background) as the closest object behind was at least 2 miles away.

Great images. Yup, there are so many great shots getting posted, it’s hard to keep on top of them all. Sign of the forums success I guess.
Thanks Hawkshead --- Ref your comment on the numbers of pics to view, I guess this is the price of this forum''s success .

There is a way you can keep track of missing threads. When you click on the respective forum topic, you will see on the left, the avatar of the person who has started the thread. Now if you have replied to tha particular thread your own avatar (quite small) will be placed at the bottom right of that avatar. That way in one glance you will know that you have responded to that particular thread. This is something new which I noticed a few day ago.

Good post Yezdi. I personally was aware of that one (yep, I'm a techno nerd - don't miss a lot) which does help let you know at a glance you have actually seen and done something on that thread. The "new posts" is supposed to take care of what I am referring to in finding missed posts; however, I have found it either has a few bugs in it or is just faulty in design. I am still researching this matter and will keep you all posted.

By the way, here is another tip that may help some people.
