I got lucky to snag some captures of an adult bald eagle taking off from our lake shoreline with a fresh killed coot. I got it with my new Z9 which gave me lots of captures of the action with the bird's eye in sharp focus. I'm loving this new camera.

I quote the guidelines:

"If you'd like to post an image to the forum (we hope you will), it needs to follow the guidelines below.

Pixel dimensions:

For horizontal images, no more than 1200 pixels across (let the number of vertical pixels fall where they may). The forum is locked in at 1400 pixels wide so this eliminates side to side scrolling.

For verticals, you can technically go 1200 pixels wide as well, but we recommend 800 wide - it just seems to look nicer and helps keep you from approaching the last limit - size.

File Size:

The file size limit is 1MB - usually far more than enough when using the recommended pixel dimensions above. (We have to limit size or our server's hard drive would become overwhelmed in short order)."

Resize in Lightroom, Photoshop, or program of your choice.

I read that. Did I mess up by limiting my file size to 1MB?

It appears that you have ..

Maybe try and re do it using the dimentions that Bob L has suggested - 1200 on the long side x 800 on the high side , then upload it again

Its definitely too small and difficult to get a true reflection of the image .. Good luck

I just went to resize it in photoshop and if i make the image size 1200 wide it makes the image 6.34MB, and if I make it at 800 high it changes to 4.76MB, both well over 1MB. I'm at a loss.

You also need to change the resolution to about 100 pixels....that is best for internet viewing.

Ooooh. That's what was missing. I've been leaving it at 240pixels. I took somebody's advice and made that foregroundy background more diffused to help bring out the subject. I'm learning. Thanks so much for the kindly help, you guys.
