That last one has an annoying foreground leaf, but I just love the expression on the little baby's face. Looks so blissful, immersed in all that duckweed and just soaking it all in like a spa day. One happy gator!

Most of these (except the first big guy, which was from Pearl River in Louisiana) are from Wekiva River, where I grew up, and were taken from a kayak. There weren't a lot of big gators in the mile or so stretch between the marina and the head springs, so all the little young gators would hang out there. They'd let you get real close in a kayak if you were quiet and slow.
