Lovely places . . . View from my front yard across the valley towards sunset. Out on the West Rand of Gauteng, South Africa

Great idea for a thread! I live at the top of Toronto in a suburban setting with houses built in the late 60's - not too exciting architecturally, but most of the stores that I like to shop in and my doctor and car dealer(s) are within walking distance. This includes a camera store, which is a bit dangerous...
Here's a picture of my street with the roadside car wash truck in action:

We don't get a free car wash and lawn irrigation, the council sends around a little truck with a rotary broom and vacuum. Which of course misses all the rubbish behind parked vehicles, i.e.. most of the street.

We have those as well - you're spot on about the missed rubbish. Looking at my above photograph again, I see the little red flags for the miniature golf course;)

I'm a fortunate man. I live with my amazing wife in the second building from the right in the first picture, right below the sunset. The other two pics are taken from right in front of our building. We are in Kahala, Hawaii, just on the other side of Diamond Head from Waikiki.

The following two links will assist you:

Took a walk up the street this afternoon and carried my mirrorless for the fall colors. Our end of the street is tiny urban lots but it doesn't take long to get to the edge of town...

Well, just to show you all how "boring" your neighbourhoods are in comparison to mine, with the "wonderful wildlife" I am surrounded by... Can you spot the eagles in the trees and the bears behind that security fence? Note how the safari vehicle has special racks to rest your super long lenses on! The white lines are to check the sobriety of pink elephants. Jealous yet? 🤣🤣🤣

Here's the house from a different angle

The only thing missing out at your place is the beachfront. You don't need a drone because you've got rock climbing at your backdoor, great for aerial shots. That beautiful deciduous treeline for the Autumn (Fall) colours, plenty of open space for the critters to wander around looking to have their portraits done and that glorious river from other shots we have seen. I am so jealous in many ways, but then again, I'm a travelling man and love nothing better than jumping in the car to go camping and take photos. Now, I wonder if my car can swim? It's a long way to Wyoming, it's a long way to go, especially via Africa...

Maybe use a lot of silicone sealant around the doors and windows of the car? Lol
