Beautiful view from that site! Superb composition and exposure control. Did you do 2 or more rows? MUCH, much better than the pitiful pano I managed to create.
Thanks, it was a single row. With that lens and at that focal length, you get a lot of edge distortion in a stitched pano, so I did a very aggressive crop.

Ahhhh.....my 14-24 stayed home that trip. All I had was the 70-200......!
This trip was a while back (2015) and my first safari, didn't know better, I took the wide angle. I haven't taken it since then, weight is always an issue, especially as other equipment gets bigger and heavier. You could do that pano with 70mm and maybe 3 or 4 passes, but I find that gets difficult w/o a tripod keeping each pass positioned/overlapped correctly.
 
Ditto. Our first trip to Africa was in 2015 - Chobe and Sabi Sabi and Cape Town! And I took a 24-70 f2.8. Last time I took a wide angle. LOL!
