Went to Trinidad & Tobago in December. Finally finished post-processing and making a presentation. I was delayed by a fall and a cracked bone in my shoulder. Try using the computer with just your left hand!

I am sure that your Costa Rica trips have similar birds and reptiles. Not all the snakes are poisonous - some are just big enough to swallow you whole.

Actually, our guide has American parents, but he was raised in Costa Rica so he could speak like a native. When he was young he would go out and pick coffee beans with his parents.

Flocks of birds would roost at night on small islands where predators could not go. My pics were taken at dusk. In an earlier post (Trinidad &Tobago - cuddley creatures) I had pics of tree-boa and cayman.

Very nice set of images.....and great variety! The flycatcher, tropicbird and harrier are especially intriguing!

One last pic... Rufous-tailed Jacamar. This bird would spot an insect maybe 20ft away, swoop down and snatch it, then return to the same perch.
