Between the torrential rainstorms, high winds, tornado warnings, etc- our little town was able to pull off the fireworks show after all. Normally this holiday is a non-event for me since I am usually up and off to work by 2 am. Especially when the 4th lands on a weekday. But the rough weather gave me a gift of a late star today so I spent my evening trying out a Pluto Trigger on the Z6II.

Lots to keep track of, but the setup for the trigger is pretty straightforward. Probably didn't help that I was a few miles away, doing this thru my 100-400S & Z2x TC.
If you got out to capture the explosions, post 'em up!

That's a really cool image, but I have to answer for you about the squigglies. I was shooting mainly 4 sec exposures. ( not sure why my exif info isin't showing up)
Maybe just the behavior of the shell fragments themselves?

Some times I like to use some intentional camera movement in the shoots. Once you start to play around with the shoots it can be a lot of fun.
