We've had some beautiful spring days of late here in Melbourne, Australia. The native orchids are putting on a show, the temp has been warm enough for the sun orchids to open so I've been kept busy the past few days. One morning for a change I decided to go birding.

A few more birds taken a couple of weeks back while the weather wan't so nice

#8 Golden-headed Cisticola


#9 Grey Butcherbird


#10 Red-browed Finch


#11 Rabbit

What a beautiful set of birds - especially the rabbit-bird

Such varieties. Thanks for sharing. Funny how I see rabbits living in the . Multiple choice pops in my head: rattlesnake, coyote, or hawk?

Thank you. This particular reserve is home to hundreds of rabbits. Possibly why the foxes stay around.

Hopefully I get to photograph a few different varieties. The trip is primarily a catchup with family and friends.
