George - You consistently post great work!

I recently got the 800mm PF for my Z9 (upgraded from the 500mm PF), and I not confident in my abiities to handhold the set up - so I've been using a monopod. What's your general approach?

Hey Cliff thanks very much!! I use the 800pf hand held, have not had it on a monopod but once on a tripod when that Chinese weather balloon passed over our house and I put it on that so I didn't have to hold it so long. That was the only time so far I didn't hand hold it. Luckily I am still able to do it with that lens and the 400/2.8 TC also.

Nice shot, George. Like Cliff said, you post good work.
My own preference with this image would be for a bit more contrast and reducing highlights on the tail feathers. That would make it even better.

Thank you very much and appreciate the ideas you presented!

George - you inspired to take out the rig this afternoon and try it handheld. I'm happy with the result. Thanks.
