I acquired my first DSLR, a Nikon D70S, back in 2005.
Here's my first serious landscape attempt with that camera. It was a cold, gray overcast day in Southern Ontario in the middle of winter, early February 2006. Being still very much in learning mode I underexposed the image by about 2-3 stops. And of course I was only shooting JPEGs in those days. Modern editing software can sometimes help turn a pig's ear into a silk purse.

Earliest two I could find…from 2002 taken with (I think) the Olympus I think I was using at the time. First one is Fantasy Island waterfall in Kauai, second one outside of Sedona Arizona. We were on our 25th anniversary trip…stopped in Phoenix for a professional meeting for my wife, a couple days in Sedona, and then on to Kauai. These came over from the old Aperture app that Apple had and either the camera didn't tell it what it was or I wasn't smart enough at the time to ad it in. Both slightly touched up today in LR and Topaz Photo AI. And yeah…shot in jpg and auto mode because not educated back then.

I hear you. Quite a few times I regretted not having RAW versions of some of my favourite images. I did the same as you - progressed to RAW + JPEG, but I decided to not do JPEG anymore last year. It ate up too much disk space on the computer, so it’s RAW only now.

December 2009, near Taif Saudi Arabia. Shortly after my arrival in country and my first trip into the mountains on the western side of the country.
Specifics shown D5000 with 55-200 kit lens. First DSLR, previously used digital P&S since 2002.
Shot as raw and processed in Lr or maybe Elements, that far back in time.

Couple from my D2X days. I was shooting RAW back then and actually reprocessed these last year in Lightroom. Both shot in Maine, Bass Head Light, and Nubble Light houses.

From 2009, with a d90 and a kit lens. I had no idea of what I was doing, but I still loved it. Finally I could start experimenting without blowing my budget with film and developing costs. This is taken looking down into Calf Creek from the Hogback on hwy 12 in Grand Staircase Escalante NM, Utah.

Shot in JPEG.
The first few years of having a DSLR I didn't shoot many landscapes, I shot some wildlife, skies, flowers, horses, farm animals and our brandings mostly. It took me a few years to switch to raw and manual, so many pictures that are pretty much useless as I destructively edited them in AcdSEE or Photoshop Elements. I wish that I could go back and reshoot a bunch of older pictures with the Nikon D750, better glass and raw.

This was taken in 2003 in Corsica on my first digital camera, a Nikon D100. I am amazed when I look at it now because on my computer it looks no different from one taken on a mirrorless these days. It is very sharp on my computer, less so here as a jpeg. The files on the D100 were 3000 x 2000 with 9.75 MB.

WOW! When I saw your shot I immediately thought of Andrew Wyeth’s most famous painting “Christina’s World”! Terrific presentation!🤩
 
Most of my images from my earliest DSLR were lost to time. That would have been with a Nikon D100. I found this one from 2010 that was a scene close to our home in Rappahannock County, VA….

I found another from 2010. Jonesport, Maine. The low sun with the loons on the water just looked cool to me… I can’t recall if it was sunrise or sunset….
