The warm light is throwing off the colouration, so I am having trouble deciding what warbler it is…Orange-crowned?

I'm more of a photographer and just starting to learn birder, so I could easily be wrong.
I'll rely on the experts here to correct me if I'm wrong.
Based on doing a Google search and looking at my Sibley's book I thought it's a Yellow Warbler.

Yes, on closer look, I think you are correct! I have a 3-4 month wait to see warblers again in the spring.

I went for a drive on NYD and found some California Sea Lions playing about in Howe Sound. Unfortunately, they didn't come any closer than this to make a better shot, but that's wildlife.

My first from 2024, taken on a very gloomy, dark New Years Day afternoon here in western PA, USA. We haven't had many good options for taking photographs here, just like a lot of the rest of the country. One of our local nesting Bald Eagles in the top of their nest tree. They're hanging closer to the nest these days since egg-laying will begin next month. Shot across the river 600+ feet away.

Beautiful shots! We have SEOs about an hour east of us. Haven't been able to make the trip to photograph them.

Thanks. I've been considering getting the Z1.4 TC to go with my 600PF, but the f/9 limit makes me feel a bit nervous on all these dark, dreary days. But, I keep telling myself, "someday it will be sunny."

Yes, f/9 would not be my first choice, but if it meant shot or no shot? I would give it a try! That being said, I have found that f/7.1 on that lens works well when you want to ensure a little extra DoF.Thanks.
