I posted a thread on here a couple years ago inquiring about this diffuser to see if anyone had any information or had tried it. I finally decided about a month ago to go ahead and order the entire kit. I ordered the all diffuser kit with hood and magnetic adapter For less than $100. There is not much I haven’t tried over the years as far as lighting and diffusers for macro photography and I can see without any hesitation whatsoever, This is absolutely the best lighting I have ever experienced. The company is based out of Slovakia and it does take a minute to get your order but the quality of all the components is top notch and very easy to deploy. I do caution you that the ordering process is quite confusing, but I absolutely recommend getting the magnetic version because it is so easy to deploy and make sure you get the right thread size for your lens.

I didn't follow up on this. Mine finally arrived in early fall of last year, but was sent with a wrong piece, so that had to be sent and by the time it was in hand it was well past 'macro season' really and I left it until today. Anyway, finally got to installing it this morning -- in the wrong parts mixup I ultimately didn't get the magnetic option for my lens either and I think the hood is for a different flash than I have as well (once the lens ring fit I was not going to bother with any more back and forth :D and what I've got works, so... -- and as promised I am not disappointed. Have yet to point it at an insect or flower, but testing on this 4cm high figurine on my desk revealed how nicely it modifies/softens the light and renders great colour (tho that's likely as much a function of the flash used; still! It's great to have the control of (good) artificial light with macro! Thanks again for the reco.

Yeah, I feel your pain with the ordering process. It took me three or four times to finally get the right parts but it’s definitely a great set up.
