My wife and I stepped out to a local city park between rain storms yesterday. There were several American Robins gathering lunch for their chicks. Here is one.

Nice shot. If a bird of prey were to attack it might go for all those worms instead. ;)
Maybe but the Cooper hawk would most likely be more interested in her. :)

I did watch a Cooper hawk grab baby robins out of a nest in a tree in my back yard a couple springs ago. couldn't get my camera fast enough to get photos and I waved at the Cooper through the window trying to distract it. At the end of the day, guess the Cooper hawk had babies to feed too.
