The Carnaby has a shorter beak compared to the Baudin. The Baudins top beak extends past the bottom beak by up the 1cm to quite a marked point.

Thanks for the clarification. I may have to get you to check some other photos in my "Carnaby's" gallery if you could. All of the ones in this gallery are from the one location except for the one posted above which was from Bridgetown, the rest in the gallery are from Yanchep National Park:That is a Baudins, as I described the top beak extends well past the bottom beak
That's the only definitive way to tell the difference between the two.
I've not seen a Carnabys in our location.
They've been missing for around 10 years due to loss of habitat
