Last night, I thought I would try to shoot Jupiter and Saturn.
I really wasn't expecting to get anything at all, and I was surprised when I looked in Lightroom.
D500 200-500 @ 500 mm f/5.6 1/320 sec ISO 6400
The crop is roughly 5% of the original.
Used a radial filter in Lightroom to drop the exposure of Jupiter.
Then I let Topaz Sharpen do it's automagic in Stabilize mode.
I think the 4 other points are the Galiean moons.

Very nice photo! I'm hoping to go out tonight, but the weather forecast for Toronto is for clouds and drizzle. This is forecast to persist for the next several days :(

here in Kentucky tonight is going to be dreary but we may have some clear skies tomorrow night.

Just love you captured the rings. Cloud here last night so no go for me; sun going down on a mostly clear sky at the moment so fingers crossed for a day after attempt. I mean how far can two planets move in a day LOL

That is fantastic! Never thought it was possible to capture the rings. Nicely done.đź‘Ť

Here's a different "view" of the planets here at the So. Oregon coast. A bit of moisture in the air causing the glow. Looked like one planet till magnified in camera and developing.
