Thinking of World Wildlife Day today. Much as I love to shoot large mammals, birds of prey or even apex predators when possible, I nonetheless got this shot of a Golden Crowned Sparrow last weekend while shooting bald eagles and thought it might be fitting to post this shot in recognition of the humble sparrow today. D6, 300mm PF, 1.4TC, 1/1600, f5.6, ISO 1250.

Thanks Ralph. I hope you do get to see one. They are fairly common around here in Kentucky where I live.
