I've put the thread in a presentation section this time however I feel your best could include any of the BCG topics related to wildlife & nature. @Steve if we feel this is better to stay in the general section please move.

For me I didn't get too much this month, just for back from a three day workshop in a rainforest environment which as most know is tough going with light etc.

Eastern Yellow Robin.

Oh yeah, those are all keepers! Really nice work. I really like the Yellow Robin and the Cattle Egret though they're all great images.

Those are all really nice. # 4 is my favorite. I love the golden color of the dawn. But that Egret is also great, that hummock was a bullock!

Here are my best ones for April.

These are the two images I am particularly pleased with. They are not what I would call my best from April but they each represent challenges in their capture as I build my experience.

The first is a Black-headed Gull that was feeding by swooping down onto rough water, it was very windy and cold, yet sunny. Here I was trying to capture the action without burning out the highlights, I almost managed it but must try harder in future! D850 + 500PF, 1/5000, f6.3, ISO 900, handheld.



Next is a Wheatear. Here it was very dull and I was lying on my stomach trying to get a focus lock against a difficult background. After several poor attempts this was the best I could do. D850 + 500 PF, 1/5000, f6.3, ISO 900 handheld.

Apologies an error, the Wheater should read D850 + 500PF, 1/3200, f6.3, ISO 1800, handheld.

Not sure about best, but here's a few that I like from this April.

Cedar Waxwing: D5, 300mm PF @f/5, 1/2000", ISO 400



Greater Sage Grouse: D500, 600mm f/4 + TC-14 iii, f/6.3, 1/3200", ISO 800



American Beaver: D5, 600mm f/4 + TC-14 iii, f/5.6, 1/640", ISO 11400
