    Mars occultation by the Moon, Jan. 13, 2025

    Mars "rising" over the Moon at the end of the occultation event. Glare from the bright full moon obscured Mars to the naked eye at the point when these photos were taken, but it was visible through binoculars and also through the camera viewfinder. Details...
